SEATTLE ROCKS! -- Our First Annual Witty City Festival concludes tonight with three highly original local acts: Daniel Carroll, Albert Kirchner and David Leon. Witty City has been an amazing event which we hope resulted in a heightened appreciation of the great comedians who reside here.

Thanks to all the outstanding acts who participated: Billy Anderson, Drew Barth, David Crowe, Brett Hamil, Rick Kunkler, Scott Losse, Emmett Montgomery, Monica Nevi, Brian Moote, Wilfred Padua and Kortney Shane Williams. Next year, we'll be sure to invite Brad Upton far in advance to get him, too.

In August, we'll return to our normal booking of top touring acts, starting with gifted impressionist Dave Burleigh, 8/6-8. Then it will be headliners Ron Singer making his debut here, 8/13-15 followed by the return of past Seattle Comedy Competition winner Sean Kent, 8/20-22, and the one and only Laurie Kilmartin, 8/27-29. Hope to see you all at the club.

BE THERE OPENING NIGHT -- Avid fans like to be there when things kick off, whether it be the Seahawks season or, we hope, our first annual Witty City Festival starting next Thursday, July 2.

Think of it? Be there and be able to tell your grandchildren you turned out to support the likes of Billy Anderson, Drew Barth, Daniel Carroll, Brett Hamil, Rick Kunkler, David Zoe Leon, Scott Losse, Emmett Montgomery, Brian Moote, Monica Nevi and Kortney Shane Williams; the very top Seattle comedians who will all be part of this unique program to bring heightened attention to the worthy acts among us.

Next Thursday, it will be David Crowe for one night only! Observers of the local comedy scene in recent years know he’s in a class by himself. “I’d say maybe there are about five comedians I really consider to be geniuses,” notes Comedy Underground “fearless leader”, Jonathan Fox, “David is one of them.”
