Ian Karmel is a Portland comedian whose style zig-zags between the eclectic and the universal, appealing both to crowds who own homes in the suburbs, and crowds just staying with their parents in the suburbs until they figure some things out. Coming from an improv background, including time with The Groundlings and the Upright Citizens Brigade, Ian entered the world of stand-up with a unique perspective that helped him win the 2011 Funniest Person in Portland, 2010 Portland Amateur Comedy Competition and has given him the opportunity to perform at the Bridgetown Comedy Festival, Bumbershoot, Austin's Moontower Comedy and Oddity Fest, Portland’s Helium Comedy Club, Philadelphia’s Helium Comedy Club, Austin’s Cap City Comedy Club, Seattle’s Comedy Underground and Los Angeles’ Comedy Store. In addition to stand-up, Karmel has appeared on television, playing a character in IFC’s sketch show Portlandia and as a post-game analyst and commentator for the Portland Trailblazers. He has performed at Bumbershoot, and recently opened for The Whitest Kids You Know. Hailing from Portland, Anthony Lopez started performing stand up in 2009, blending absurd humor with heartfelt stories from his life. His wide girth of subject matter allows him to be comfortable, and kill, in any room from Helium Comedy Club-- where he was one of 10 finalists from a field of almost 100 comedians in the 2012 Funniest Person in Portland Contest-- to dive bars, laundry mats, The Orycon Science Fiction and Fantasy Convention (TWICE!), and earlier this year at the Upright Citizens Brigade-East Theater in New York City. Jen Allen’s love of comedy came from her Dad, Saturday morning cartoons, and her introduction to Carol Burnett. Jen’s insane need to pull laughs out of people took her through the world’s of theater, sketch and improv, ultimately landing her in the world of stand-up – where she gets to weave her favorite parts of those forms into a truly unique brand of stand-up comedy. In her two short years, Jen Allen has had the pleasure of performing at Portland’s Helium Comedy Club and has been a semi-finalist in their Portland's Funniest Person Contest, Seattle’s Laff Hole and Comedy Underground and as the regular host of The Brody Theater’s weekly open mic. Xander Deveaux retired in his late teens from his touring punk band and embarked on his career as stand-up comedian. In little over year as a full-time comedian, Xander became the youngest finalist ever in Helium Comedy Club's Funniest Person in Portland Contest. Mr. Deveaux a regular performer on the Chuck n' Buck Show, Portland's live weekly Late Night Show at the Star Theater and has opened for Kristine Levine, Derek Sheen, and Andy Andrist. Carson Creecy is an actor, comedian, and motivational speaker who resides in Portland but travels extensively throughout Washington preaching the gospel of higher education and post-modern pop-culture observations.
Mr. Creecy competed in last year's Portland's Funniest Person Contest but was disqualified for unleashing an illegal flying scissor heel lock on another comedy competitor in the green room.
