Seattle is in a local comedy boom right now. You can go see a show pretty much any night of the week, but most people think they have to shell out a bunch of money for theater tickets, or that you have to take your chances on what could end up being a poorly locally produced show. Comedy Loaf seeks to shine a light on the immense talent blossoming here in our city of Seattle, while still offering the quality comedy club experience of Seattle’s staple, The Comedy Underground. In the short time each of these comedians has been honing their art they have all repeatedly been featured as some of the best and brightest in the area, winning competitions, earning press and even traveling all over the Pacific North West. Please come join us, or at force other people to join us!
LYNN RUTH MILLER started doing comedy on stage when she was 71 years old and hit the headlines in Edinburgh at the 2005 International Fringe Festival for jumping out of a cake (almost) and removing her clothes (not quite.) She left them laughing when she sat on their laps in 2006 and in 2007, she was dubbed the new Joan Rivers of Fringe Comedy. Now she is 78 and she swears she hasn’t gotten the last laugh yet. She made it to Las Vegas in America’s Got Talent, 2008 and won the People’s Choice Award at the 2009 Branson Comedy Festival. She got to the finals in Bill Word’s Funniest Female Contest 2009 and the semi-finals in San Francisco’s International Comedy Competition She did her cabaret at the Glasgow Cabaret Festival in October. She has become a regular at the SF Punchline and The Stand in Edinburgh and made the top 100 in the UK in Britain’s got Talent.

Laura is like radioactive plutonium, calm exterior but explosive! Laura just appeared on ‘Stand Up In Stilettos’ on TV Guide Network.
In February she is embarking on a month long comedy tour throughout the UK.
This August, she will be returning to Scotland for the 4th year in a row to participate in the Edinburgh Fringe Festival. Her solo show "I Didn't Mean to be a Virgin in the 80s' has been a hit with everyone lucky enough to see it.
And Laura is currently working on a book, turning her dissertation (yes officially she is Dr. Laura, but not THAT Dr. Laura) in turn a speaker’s platform to help heal a world so in need of levity. Laugh more! Doctor's orders!

Darryl Lenox is judge, jury, and executioner when he takes the stage, and he presides over the courtroom of comedy with authority. The result: insightful, incisive, and always authentic comic justice that punishes the absurdity of the everyday with a life sentence of laughter without parole.
Lenox originally entered the world of stand-up on a dare, but once he started he never looked back. After a friend challenged him to stop talking and start living, he entered an open mic competition in Seattle and the rest is history. Admittedly, his first set wasn’t flawless, but it did plant a seed that would grow into lifelong passion. Lenox embraced his gift, fought hard and the people began to talk. Seizing every opportunity, Darryl won more and more stage time throughout the Northwest, revealing the makings of a world-class stand-up comedian. Before long he had earned a well deserved place in the world of professional stand-up comedy.
Even though life has not always been easy for Lenox, having been afflicted with deteriorating eyesight since his youth, he quickly shrugs off any notion of self-pity with disarming insight. He quips, “I can’t see two feet in front of me, but I can see tomorrow.” If laughter and aching sides are any indication, tomorrow looks incredibly bright for this driven entertainer. Audiences everywhere agree: Darryl Lenox is here to stay and we hope his comic courtroom will be in session for a long time to come.
