Longtime Assistant Manager Carl Warmenhoven is retiring from the Comedy Underground after 19 years. He is considered a treasure in the local comedy community because of the support, guidance & encouragement that he gives to comics.

Carl started performing stand-up comedy in 1979 in Seattle.

Carl is perhaps best known for running the Open Mic at the Comedy Underground. Itís the essential beginning for comedians. Some well known local comics who got their start at the Underground include Brad Upton, Kermet Apio, Rod Long, Peggy Platt, Ty Barnett, David Crowe, Vince Valenzuela and Cathy Sorbo.

Many comedians have used the Comedy Underground stage to sharpen a set for the Tonight Show, Letterman or Comedy Central. The Comedy Underground just celebrated itís 30th Year in Business in 2011.

This will be a show for Comedians that the public will enjoy! Lots of entertainment for only $10.
