Comedy News: Drake Witham Featured on "Live at Gotham"

Seattle comic Drake Witham will be featured on Comedy Central's new stand-up comedy series, "Live at Gotham" on Friday, August 25, 2006.

Seattle comic Drake Witham will be featured on Comedy Central's new stand-up comedy series, "Live at Gotham" on Friday, August 25, 2006.

Drake was the winner of the 2003 Seattle International Comedy Competition. He stared doing comedy in 2001 at a Christmas office party. In addition to being a comic, he is also an award-winning journalist. He recently spent 10 days entertaining troops in Iraq.

Drake will also be performing at the Seattle Comedy Underground August 31– September 2, 2006.

Drake is not the only comedian to come out of the Pacific Northwest to be featured on the show. In the first season, Auggie Smith, Dan Cummins and Seattle Comedy Competition winners, David Crowe and Darryl Lenox have been seen on the show.

Live at Gotham is Comedy Central's first stand-up series to premiere on Comedy Central's MotherLoad broadband player before its on-air network debut. The series is filmed at the Gotham Comedy Club in New York City. Each weekday, go to MotherLoad to watch a different comedian doing fresh stand-up about the current events and pop culture gossip of the week. Then, tune in to Comedy Central this summer to watch all six full episodes of Live at Gotham.
